Copy Text to Clipboard - Page View Changes
« on: July 15, 2020, 12:25:19 PM »

When I'm zoomed into a page, and have selected text, and copy it to clipboard, the Zoom of the Page seems to center itself. It's driving me nuts. Why does  Bluebeam re-frame the view like that?

Is there an option I might have missed?

I don't think I have seen that, are you using your mouse wheel to zoom or some other way?

It happens in these conditions (known conditions):
- Performed OCR previously on the PDF document
1.1) Zoom into a page
1.2) Selecting Text
1.2.1) With the shortcut "Shift + T" and selecting text in the page
1.2.2) With the mouse "Ctrl + Click Drag" to select a "rectangle of text"
1.3) Copy text with "Ctrl + c"
1.4) 25% of the time, the view shifts to the bottom left of the page (keeping the same zoom ratio). E.g. If I was zoomed in at 250% at the top right of the page, I would now be seeing the lower left corner of the page at 250%).

I've also ran into this issue.

I've noticed that if you get the PDF to 'jump' several times with Ctrl+C, eventually it stops jumping and you can use the copy/paste function without the disorientation.
