Adding slope to an area measurement
« on: January 24, 2019, 01:06:56 PM »

I see that you can add a slope to an area measurement by selecting the type of slope (pitch/degree/grade) in the Measurements Tab and then adding the value into the slope column on the Markup List, but how do you specify the direction the area in question is sloping?  For a rectangular area it should make a difference if the slope was along the long or the short dimension of the rectangle.

If I understand correctly, the direction of the slope doesn't matter.  Imagine you have an 8" x 10" piece of paper -- 80 sq in.  No matter whatever slope you angle it at, or whatever direction, the area of that paper is 80 sq in.  It's just the plan view of the sheet that changes - and by calculating that plan view "area" with the user entered slope, Revu calculates back to the "real" area -- 80 sq in.
