Accurate Rotation of objects
« on: August 21, 2019, 06:19:38 AM »

Hi all,

Is there a way to rotate an object like snapshots with .001 precision?

This might be a little OCD-ish to some but I'm trying to overlay several pages of a roof opening plan set (all of them are partial plans) onto a huge structural steel plan to see if there are conflicts between each other. Overlay pages works O.K. if all of the drawings have the same reference points (e.i., the same grid lines) but this is not the case.

Thanks!

Nope...

Unfortunately BB did away with precision rotation in 2018 (not in 2019 BETAs either).  There has been a lot of feedback that this needs to be fixed.  Hopefully addressed in final 2019 build.

Thanks for the info.

This is a real bummer though. :-\

Has this been addressed by BB yet? or is there another way for "micro" rotation?

I found the solution within 5 minutes on another random post.  Hold SHIFT while manually rotating for what appears to be .5 degree increments.  This has been bothering me for months.  I can't believe I didn't try this before!!
