Not sure what you are asking. Are you just wanting to overlay a grid onto an existing PDF floor plan?

I am an electrician contractor, and I want to know how to make my own ceiling grid when i get a print that does not have a reflected ceiling plan. Where I could take the floor plan and add a ceiling grid on top of it.

You could use the drawing tools to draw whatever type grid you wanted on a separate layer. You could also set the grid/snap to help you draw the grid.
