Combining symbols and callouts
« on: February 28, 2023, 01:53:53 PM »

Hello everyone,
Is there a way to combine a custom symbol with a moveable
callout textbox?

I am making symbols from snapshots and would ideally like
to have the flexibilty of moving text around seperately, just
like the stock callout symbol operates. But, without the extra step
or three of adding a text box to my symbol. I have hundreds to drop in
and it would simplify a bunch.

So far, grouping removes the ability to have the textbox move freely.

Thanks
Phil

Not a perfect solution but if you hold alt you can then move the text box without moving the rest of the content in the group?

I didn't quite follow your question, but if you can setup one the way you want, Right Click > Set As Default.

It sounds like you have a more complex question tho; however, between ctrl-drag to copy a Qlead and alt-drag to shift the Qlead with locked leaders, and grouping (ctrl-G) to move sets of markups (you can adjust individual grouped items while holding alt), I feel like you should be able to get a good work flow going. Bluebeam has a lot of little sub-features that can sometimes get you right where you needed, but there are a lot of them to know...
