Title: Batch Crop help?
Post by: Nichole Davis on June 12, 2018, 01:24:01 AM
Help everyone!

I'm needing help. I need to crop a small titleblock out of a batch of plans. It's not the whole part of the page. It's just a small corner. I keep trying to use batch crop, but I must be doing something wrong. I can't seem to make that little section of the page go away.

Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

Thank you!

It would be helpful to see a file or two that you are trying to crop and a file of the result you are currently getting.  One thing to remember with the crop tool is that the area you select to be cropped is the area that is KEPT and everything outside that area is deleted.  So if you are selecting around the title block then the title block is kept and all else is deleted.

There are also instructions for using batch crop here:

Hi.
So we got an e-mail from our teacher yesterday. It turns out what he was asking for when he was asking us to batch crop isn't possible. What he wanted was for all the title blocks on the plan set to be erased or cut.  ???

I haven't seen one on the version of Revu we have been using, but is their a batch cut or a batch erase feature on any of the versions of Bluebeam?

No, there is not.  BUT - if you have Revu eXtreme, you might be able to use the Redaction tool to do it (as long as the title blocks are all in the same place on each sheet).  Otherwise you'll need to use the Erase Content tool on each title block separately.

We are using bluebeam revu 2017. I'm not sure if it's eXtreme or not.

Go to the HELP menu and select ABOUT and it will say in the window that opens what version you have on the very top line.  IF you don't have eXteme, you can't use redaction.
